Sandbox VR Opens in Downtown Sacramento Bringing Immersive

Downtown Sacramento’s entertainment scene got a boost with the opening of Sandbox VR in Downtown Commons, near Golden 1 Center. Players wear sensors on their arms and legs to enter virtual worlds, and as David Friedman said, “This is the most amazing concept. You turn into a completely different avatar from head to toe and you’re playing all kinds of games,” according to KCRA

Sandbox VR offers experiences for four to six people, including the chilling “Upside Down” from “Stranger Things,” and family-friendly options. Friedman highlighted partnerships and inclusivity, noting, “We have a partnership with Netflix, so we do Squid Games and we do Netflix, it’s really, really fun,” and “It’s really for all ages. We’re a great place for families, we’re a great place for date night,” as reported by KCRA

Sandbox VR has opened at Downtown Commons, offering ten virtual reality worlds for visitors to experience. Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart said, “We love that individuals, families, friends and coworkers will have another unique option at DOCO, in a space that takes virtual reality experiences to an entirely new level.” Franchise owner Paramveer Thind added, “Just as Kings fans come together to cheer on their team, our immersive VR experiences bring people together for unforgettable shared moments,” as per Sacramento Press. Parking validation is available from most DOCO tenants with a purchase, and reservations can be made online.
