Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy has his own wave when it comes to engaging the public. He put the skill to perfect display at the Ramoji excellence award that was held in Hyderabad today.
While addressing the crowds at this event, Revanth Reddy was at his witty best. He took the vacation to share an interesting incident that he shared with late Ramoji Rao and this pertains to the 2009 united Andhra Pradesh election.
Revanth Reddy said he met Ramoji Rao right before the 2009 election result came out in anticipation that TDP would form the government and he aspires the cabinet minister post.
“Back in 2009, there was this external talk that Chandrababu Garu would give cabinet ministry posts to the candidates recommended by Ramoji garu. So me and my four colleagues from Andhra Pradesh went to meet Ramoji. I don’t know how, but he immediately grasp our intention, even without speaking a word.”
“Ramoji Garu, then disciplined us by saying he had never recommended anyone to the cabinet. In fact, he shared his knowledge with us, as he said he felt politicians would shine better as MLAs rather than cabinet ministers and he advised us to continue on this path.”
It is interesting to note that Revanth wanted the recommendation of Ramoji to enter the cabinet while he himself was a dear student of Chandrababu back then. Eventually, destiny was kind towards Revanth as he became a chief minister, even without becoming a cabinet minister first.
