SUMMERSIDE, PE – The 2025 season at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway is winding down, but the battles atop the local standings remain as fierce as ever heading into Tuesday’s Remembrance Day harness racing program.

The final card of the 2025 season will kick off at 6 P.M., on Tuesday evening.
Corey MacPherson continues to set the standard among the driving colony at the Prince County oval with 55 wins from 366 starts and over $256,000 in purse earnings. David Dowling, also sits at 55 wins but is absent from action on Tuesday, making the match-up between MacPherson and third Paul Langille, who remains close with 54 victories, ensuring the title race stays tight right through the final cards of the season.
On the training side, Earl Watts holds the advantage with 24 wins from 116 starts, amassing $148,430 in seasonal earnings and maintaining a strong 20.7 percent strike rate. Phil Sizer continues to apply pressure with 22 victories, while Tammy Collings has surged into third spot behind a hot late-season streak. George Rennison rounds out the top conditioners for the year at Summerside in fourth place.
The $5,100 featured pace lines up in Race 11 with the consistent Brookdale Johnny again poised to take centre stage. The five-year-old pacer leaves from post 5 for owners Doug Polley Sr., & Jr., trainer Phil Sizer and driver Paul Langille, taking on an accomplished group that includes Doc Awesome (Corey MacPherson), Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy), P L Quicksand (Brady Sweet), and Middleton Terror (Brodie MacPhee).
The Backstretch Beat goes with Brookdale Johnny to win the top event.
“The iron-tough campaigner continues to show why he’s one of Summerside’s most consistent performers. He’s been right there in every start and with Langille in the bike again, we expect to see him on the lead from the get go or swinging hard at the end of the mile.”
