SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) — The search for the father of a bride who went missing on her wedding day has been called off indefinitely.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department made the announcement on Tuesday, but did not dislcose the reason for calling off the search three days after 55-year-old Prasad Moparti went missing.

Moparti was smiling in the last family picture he took before he mysteriously vanished. But Durga Moparti says her father seemed unhappy after arriving from India.

The weekend wedding was supposed to be a huge party at the historic Grand Island Mansion, but when it was time to leave to the Bay Area, Moparti was nowhere to be found.

Neighbors say they last saw Prasad walking toward the bridge Saturday afternoon. Sunday night, rescuers were searching in and around the delta.
