Sacramento Meeting to Address Homelessness
Leaders across Sacramento County came together Tuesday for a rare joint meeting to address the ongoing crisis of homelessness, discuss current strategies and outline opportunities for future cooperation. CapRadio Local Government Reporter Riley Palmer joins Insight with a recap of the conversations and criticisms raised at the meeting, and how it could lay the groundwork for additional action.
Natomas Teacher Space Mission
A Sacramento teacher is getting an otherworldly experience – getting a glimpse of what it’s like to live in outer space. Domina Stamas is a Physics and Astronomy teacher at Westlake Charter High and the Founder of the Analog Crew Education (ACE) Project. She joins us on the heels of returning from an expedition where she, along with a crew, simulated life on the moon to better understand humans existing in harsh conditions. We’ll learn about the World’s Biggest Analog, described as the largest proof of concept space simulation mission of its kind.
Scary and Sweet Halloween Activities
Spooky season is coming to a close but there’s still time for a trek through a Haunted Forest in the foothills or along the Sugar Skull Art Walk in Placerville. We’ll learn more about each from Sherean and Elden Maynard with the Haunted Forest and Melinda Velasco, one of the managing directors of the Sugar Skull Art Walk.
