Racing Incident Report
Horse No 1 STAR BROSE (J463) H Bowman Shifted in at the start and bumped with SILVER KING.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 3 HANDSOME BOMB (H402) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and then bumped with PERFECTO MOMENTS which shifted out.
L Ferraris stated that after enjoying a good run during the race HANDSOME BOMB was disappointing in that it failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
He added that when he felt there may be something amiss with the horse he did not fully ride it out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME BOMB will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 APOLAR FIGHTER (J169) C L Chau Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages and made contact with LUCKY BLESSING.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 HANDSOME BLOND (K241) Y L Chung Y L Chung stated that he was instructed to settle his mount where comfortable.
He said after his mount commenced well he held an on-pace position in the early stages but when unable to cross runners to his inside HANDSOME BLOND was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and hung out during the race.
He further stated that as a consequence HANDSOME BLOND was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of HANDSOME BLOND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME BLOND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 LUCKY BLESSING (K073) M F Poon Over the concluding stages was bumped by APOLAR FIGHTER which shifted in under pressure.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 DRACO (J115) Z Purton Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of APOLAR FIGHTER.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 DRAGON SUNRISE (J269) K De Melo From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
K De Melo reported that his mount hung in in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride out.
Horse No 11 PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003) M L Yeung Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
M L Yeung reported that over the concluding stages he was unable to fully test his mount when racing tight to the inside of LUCKY BLESSING.
Horse No 12 SILVER KING (H420) K C Leung Bumped on jumping.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
