A Sacramento driver was carjacked and kidnapped on Thursday morning, according to police. The Sacramento Police Department said officers responded to reports of the carjacking in the 5700 block of Freeport Boulevard, south of Fruitridge Road, just before 9:30 a.m. Two victims, a driver of a van and passenger were later found, police said. According to police, the incident began when the driver was threatened with a firearm and the suspect took control of the vehicle with the driver still inside. There was passenger in the van prior to the carjacking, but he was not in the van when it was taken. The van was found shortly after near the 1400 block of 32nd Avenue, which is a few streets west of where it was stolen. The suspect fled, according to police. Police confirmed that the victims were two adults, neither of whom were injured during the carjacking and kidnapping.
