There was certainly a lot to digest in yesterday’s (November 12th) return of ‘The Osbournes Podcast‘. Sharon, Jack and Kelly Osbourne brought the series back for the first time since the July 22nd, 2025 passing of their patriarch, heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne. The emotional discussion found the family sharing stories and anecdotes about the beloved Prince Of Darkness, while also unpacking the circumstances around his death, and the grief and outpouring of love and support that followed.

In addition to sharing a voice mail of condolences from U.S. President Donald Trump that was left for Sharon (see 1:02:48 in) and revealing Ozzy‘s previously undisclosed hospitalization two weeks before the July 05th ‘Back To The Beginning‘ concert (14:08 in), the family also slammed Roger Waters for his disparaging comments regarding Ozzy‘s death (43:07 in.) Elsewhere in the discussion Sharon also cleared up some previously erroneously reported info.

Back on July 09th, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, etc. fame, stated that the ‘Back To The Beginning‘ tribute concert raised over $190 million for charity. That once-in-a-lifetime festival featured a who’s who of metal and hard rock royalty paying tribute to Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, including the likes of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and countless others.

Held at Villa Park in Black Sabbath‘s stomping grounds of Birmingham, UK, the festival sold out the 42,640 cap venue. An associated charity auction and a PPV livestream of the concert also generated additional revenue. Sharon went on to push back against the reports of exorbitant sum in August. In this podcast episode, Sharon followed suit, stating:

“If one show could have raised — I mean it was up to like $190 million — it’s like any artist, just do one big show, film it and you can retire. Now. It was nowhere near and I wish that it was, but we’re living in reality in the real world.”

When Jack pressed for what it actually raised, Sharon replied:

“It raised 11 [million,] but with the cost, ’cause we paid the cost of bringing everybody in, everybody out, accomodations, everything. No one got paid. Nobody asked for a penny. They gave their time, their efforts, everything for free.

Elsewhere in this podcast, Sharon revealed that prior to his passing, Ozzy had agreed to record two songs that ultimately never materialized in light of his declining health, busy schedule and ultimate death. One of those tracks was part of an upcoming tribute to his late friend Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister of Motörhead. Another was a duet with Disturbed vocalist David Draiman. Sharon said of that [transcribed by theprp.com]:

“There was two [obligations] that he didn’t finish. Lemmy, um, there’s an album coming out of people covering Lemmy songs, and he had chosen his song and he really, really wanted to do it. He really, really wanted to do it and we were trying to fit it in, and he really wanted to be on that album for Lemmy. And the other one was David Draiman and him were doing a duet and… never happened.”
