Coinciding with this week’s Nintendo Switch 2 firmware update, a bunch of new Switch 1 games have been fixed on the new console in terms of backwards compatibility.

A few big names are included here. We previously spotlighted the fix for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition in a separate post, but other games that have been fixed include Batman: Arkham Knight, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, and Windjammers.

The full lineup is as follows:

  • Abyss Memory Fallen Angel and the Path of Magic
  • A Clockwork Ley-Line: Kagerou ni Samayou Majo
  • Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue (JP version)
  • Arcade Party
  • Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Genso Manege
  • Godlike Burger
  • Hitman 3 Cloud Version
  • KarmaZoo
  • Model Debut #Nicola
  • S.N.I.P.E.R.: Hunter Scope
  • They Bleed Pixels
  • Tokyo Xanadu eX+
  • Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded
  • Windjammers
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition

While everything above is now in working order, we have news about games Nintendo has identified as having issues. First, for Doom (2016), Doom + Doom 2, and Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, problems with game progression have been found. Also, for Oddworld: Soulstorm, when playing in TV mode, sound might not play correctly.

You can find coverage of other Nintendo Switch 1 games previously fixed on Switch 2 here, here, here, and here. We also have the rundown of this week’s firmware update (which was somewhat significant) here.
