It’s pretty much common knowledge at this point that the yearly fracas known as Hellfest Open Air is a massive fucking event. Every year, scores of bands from around the world and legions of excited metalheads chomping at the bit for four days of metal madness descent upon Clisson, France. But looking at this year’s list of bands slated to play the event, next year’s showing may be among the biggest.
Set to take place from June 18 to June 21, this year’s festival boasts more than 180 different bands scheduled to take the six stages over four days. According to organizers, Bring Me The Horizon will headline that Thursday night, Iron Maiden will close out Friday, Limp Bizkit will headline Saturday, and The Offspring will bring it all home as the headlining act for Sunday. But what happens at each stage on any given day is where the meat of the festival can be found.
