Jon Bon Jovi is a grandpa of two!
The 63-year-old rocker’s son Jesse Bongiovi and his wife Jesse Light welcomed their first baby together, a daughter named Blair Lucy, sharing the exciting news on Instagram on Monday, Nov. 10. The sweet snap shows Jesse’s daughter holding onto a finger, wearing a pink, blue and white striped beanie.
“Blair Lucy Bongiovi. Our sweet girl has arrived, and we couldn’t be happier. Welcome to the world, baby Blair bear,” Jesse and his wife wrote in the caption of their joint post.
Jesse and his wife Jesse tied the knot on May 7, 2024 in Las Vegas. The couple’s ceremony happened at the same chapel where Jesse’s parents, Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi eloped in 1989.
The two first connected in 2018 at the deck of Surf Lodge in Montauk, N.Y. — which is also where Bongiovi popped the question two years ago.
Bon Jovi recently shared that he was going to be a two-time grandfather on BBC’s The One Show.
“It’s a new chapter in life, you know,” he shared. “I mean this, this next generation comes along and suddenly I have a granddaughter, another one coming next week.”
He also shared his best piece of fatherly advice, simply saying, “Let them be them.”
The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer recently became a first-time grandpa when he and his wife Dorothea‘s son Jake Bongiovi and daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown announced on Aug. 21 that they are parents.
The Stranger Things actress, 21, and her husband, 23, confirmed in a post on Instagram that they had welcomed a baby girl via adoption, and they were excited for the new adventures on the horizon.
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” they wrote in a joint post. They concluded, “And then there were 3.”

In addition to sons Jesse and Jake, Bon Jovi and Dorothea share their daughter Stephanie, 32, and son Romeo, 21.
After welcoming his first grandchild, Bon Jovi shared the grandpa name he’s planning to go by, and it has a sweet connection to his daughter-in-law’s television show. The rockstar spoke with Savannah Guthrie for a new interview with Today, saying he immediately fell in love with the little one.
“Immediately you fall in love,” said Bon Jovi. “You know, when we met Jake and Millie’s daughter, it was just immediate. You’re like, ‘That’s my granddaughter.'”
“She won’t be able to walk for at least 10 or 12 years because Papa will be carrying her everywhere she goes,” he continued, sharing that he plans to go by “Papa” to his granddaughter.
The “You Give Love a Bad Name” singer’s preferred grandpa name coincidentally is the same name of a character on Brown’s TV show Stranger Things. “Papa” is the name of the man who watches over Brown’s character Eleven when she’s imprisoned in the lab.
