Apple has grabbed eyeballs after introducing its new redesigned iPhone 17 Pro series in the global market. Now, a new Bloomberg report states that the company is now planning three completely redesigned models that will roll out over three consecutive years. It includes the iPhone 18 Pro series and the long rumoured iPhone Fold followed by a new curved display model. Additionally, the company is also expected to break its launch cycle into two, much like Samsung, its biggest competitor. Here’s everything we know so far.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Fold release timeline
Beginning in 2026, Apple is expected to introduce its high-end models. the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the first foldable iPhone in the fall. The standard iPhone 18 lineup, which includes the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and possibly an updated iPhone Air, is expected to be released by the company approximately six months later. According to reports, this will be the company’s new strategy for releasing the iPhone each year.

iPhone Air 2 launch delayed
Recent reports suggest that the iPhone Air 2 launch may be delayed, possibly due to lower-than-expected sales. According to the Bloomberg report, insiders say the product was never intended to be released in 2026. Instead, Apple is focussing the second-generation model on a switch to a 2nm chip to improve battery performance, which was the most common criticism levelled at the first-generation Air. Apple may also offer a second rear camera, which may require redesign, the report added.

It should be noted that all of these updates are early speculations, and Apple has not confirmed them as of the time of writing. We may have to wait until September next year to learn more about the upcoming iPhone series.
In the meantime, Apple is also planning to introduce iOS 26.4 as early as next year with the next generation Siri and new Apple Intelligence. It is said to be the company’s biggest AI push before the iOS 27 release. However, the iPhone users will still have to wait for a few months to get it as the company may introduce it in March or April next year.
