And Oscar buzz is building for Russell Crowe after his film Nuremberg received an almost four-minute standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film looks at the infamous Nuremberg trials in Nazi Germany following World War II.

Critics are praising Russell’s commanding performance of Hermann Goering, saying it’s his best role since Cinderella Man.

The last time he was Oscar nominated was 2002 for A Beautiful Mind and of course, he won the previous year for Gladiator back in 2001.

Nuremberg is out this November.
