THIS IS A SACRAMENTO TRADITION THAT’S BEEN GOING ON FOR 30 YEARS NOW, BUT ONE FAMILY WE TALKED TO HAD NEVER BEEN SKATING UNTIL TODAY. WE SKATED ONCE AND SPRAYED TO DO IT AGAIN. HONESTLY. SAME HERE. The ice skating rink in downtown Sacramento opened on Thursday for the season. It’s located in Ali Youssefi Square at 7th and K streets near the Golden 1 Center at Downtown Commons. The rink will be open until Jan. 19, with hours from Tuesday to Thursday between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The rink is closed on Mondays except for holidays. General admission is $15, while children ages 6 and under can skate for $8.Admission includes skate rental. Learn more here.
