This means normal Pink and Green line service will continue to be delayed.

Regular service on those lines were supposed to Wednesday morning, but now the CTA says it will resume later this week.

So far, no exact date or time was given.

Due to the construction, there is no Pink Line service around the Loop.

The Green Line is closed between Clinton and Clark/Lake.

There are shuttle buses available to connect riders.

The project is part of a race to repair aging bridges across Chicago. The ABC7 I-Team reported last year on concerning inspection reports.

The Lake Street Bridge is considered to be in poor condition.

Rail service is expected to be interrupted again during a similar bridge closure in the spring. A full reopening is slated for January 2028.
