Disembodied Tyrant Vocalist/Guitarist Blake Mullens Significantly Injured In ‘Freak Accident’, Live Replacements Announced

Blake Mullens, vocalist/guitarist for deathcore outfit Blake Mullens has been sidelined by injury after being involved in what is being described as a “freak accident.” While the exact nature of the accident wasn’t revealed, it has been stated that he required immediate hospitalization and surgery and will be facing a “lengthy” recovery process.

A statement issued by the band tonight, November 09th, offered the following explanation on the matter:

“On Monday the 3rd, Blake was involved in a freak accident that resulted in significant injuries to multiple limbs, requiring emergency hospitalization and surgery. He is okay, but there will be no more details given in relation to the incident out of respect for his family.

Due to this event and the lengthy recovery process involved, he is unfit to perform on DT’s upcoming US tour with Whitechapel. He is expected to recover in time for the band’s next tour in March.

He does not want to the band to lose momentum or opportunities, so the tour will proceed as planned with @trevorteichert and @rynovail stepping in on vocals. The rest of the band will see you there with Whitechapel, Bodysnatcher, and AngelMaker.”

As mentioned above, Winter’s Gate vocalists Trevor Teichert and Ryan Vail of LarcɆnia RoɆ and Synestia will be filling in for Mullens on the band’s impending tour opening for Whitechapel, Bodysnatcher and AngelMaker. That trek will find Whitechapel performing their latest album “Hymns In Dissonance” in full nightly.
