Dharmendra health updates Live: Family brings actor to Juhu home, Bollywood events cancelled

Back in 2023, Dharmendra garnered praise for his role in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He said, “I am receiving messages from the people and I said, “Ye to mere daaye haath ka kaam hai kuch baaye haath se karvana ho vo bhi karva lo (That’s really easy for me. Let me know if you have more difficult challenges for me).”

The veteran actor spoke about his kissing scene with Shabana Azmi in the movie and added, “Bahut mazaa aaya (Had a lot of fun)” and hearing this media started laughing, on this, he clarified that he is talking about the film.

On Wednesday, Amitabh Bachchan shared a tweet on X, that left fans confused. He posed two exclamation marks with a numbered tweet but fans wondered if she was expressing shock at his friend Dharmendra’s ill health.

Back in 2023, Dharmendra took to X to share a clip from the Animal teaser featuring his son Bobby Deol. In the video, Bobby is seen opening a door shirtless, wearing a green necklace, and holding a knife as he gestures for someone to enter, his expression both intense and menacing.

Sharing the clip, Dharmendra wrote, “My innocent son in Animal.” The video also featured an onscreen message that read, “Suno tum sab log Dec 1 ko theatre anna warna… (Listen, all of you must come to see Animal in theatres on Dec 1 or else).”

Following his post, fans flooded the comments section with humorous reactions. One user quipped, “Itna bhi innocent nahi hai paaji (He’s not that innocent, paaji).” Another wrote, “Nobody roots for their son like Dharam paaji!” while a third joked, “If he is innocent, then I’m an angel.”

In April last year, Dharmendra took to his X handle and shared a rare picture of him and his elder son Sunny Deol with the veteran actor’s late father Kewal Krishan. In it, he and Sunny can be seen sitting on either side of Kewal Krishan, who holds a walking stick. While a younger Dharmendra wears a peach T-shirt, a young Sunny sports a white ganji. His grandfather can be seen in a white T-shirt.

In his caption, Dharmendra wrote, “kaash! MAA BAAP ko aur waqt diya hota!” (Wish I’d devoted more time to my parents). Fans of the actor left several comments on the post. One asked, “sir, hme btaiye kaise khush rkhe maa baap ko aur time de unko” (Sir, please tell us how to keep our parents happy and devote more time to them). Dharmendra responded to the query by writing, “Treat them the way you treat your kids,,,,,,,if you don’t have kids…… Be their loving kid.”

A fan bearing a placard outside Dharmendra’s home, got emotional. He was seen weeping and praying for the actor’s health.

Writer-director Guddu Dhanoa visited Dharmendra’s residence in Juhu shortly after he was brought back home. He shared an update with the media, saying that the actor is doing better.

Hours before her own husband Govinda was admitted to hospital after he fell unconscious, Sunita Ahuja was spotted at the Mumbai airport. She spoke to the paparazzi about Dharmendra’s health and wished him swift recovery.

Govinda has been admitted to the CritiCare hospital in suburban Juhu after he fainted at home around midnight, his legal advisor and friend Lalit Bindal said.

The 61-year-old actor is undergoing tests at the hospital, Bindal added.

“He fainted in the evening and called me. I brought him CritiCare hospital. He is under observation and undergoing tests,” Bindal told PTI.

He also shared the health update about Govinda on Instagram.

“My dear and respected @govinda_herono1 has been admitted in hospital with complaints of disorientation and unconscious (sic). I pray for his speedy recovery,” he posted.

The trailer launch for Dhurandhar, scheduled for Wednesday morning was cancelled. Ranveer Singh said it was to show respect for the victims of the Red Fort blast, but an earlier note to the media also mentioned that Dharmendra’s ill health was also a reason.

Amid growing concerns over the health of legendary actor Dharmendra, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, visited Breach Candy Hospital on Tuesday evening to extend support to the Deol family.

In the visuals captured by the Mumbai-based paps, Aamir and Gauri could be seen arriving at the hospital.

“Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7:30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him home treatment,” Dr Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital, under whom the actor was admitted, told PTI.

When asked about the actor’s condition, Dr Samdani said he could only confirm that Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital.

Dharmendra’s family has shared a new statement on his recovery: “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time.

We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
