Dairy Queen Is Releasing an All-New Blizzard, Dipped Cone, and Shake—and We Tried Them First

Springtime events are only just beginning, yet the countdown to summer is officially on for many brands. General Mills has debuted its red, white, and blue Birthday Cake Cheerios for this year’s America250 celebration, Starbucks is going tropical with its new mango-flavored drinks, and Dairy Queen has launched a limited-time menu with summery flavors, like the S’mores Blizzard, Cotton Candy Blizzard, and new Strawberry Angel Food Cake Blizzard.

After DQ announced its Countdown to Summer menu, we had wondered whether that would be all we saw from the chain as the weather heats up. And we already have our answer.

Dairy Queen is releasing a new Breakfast Collection, which features a new dipped cone, Blizzard, and shake, for a limited time.

After a few months of speculation—and treats popping up at some local franchises—DQ is finally debuting its new Breakfast Collection on April 27. The nostalgia-filled menu features two cereal collaborations with Fruity Pebbles and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, plus a new take on the classic chocolate-frosted donut.

Dairy Queen’s new menu includes a Fruity Pebbles Shake, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dipped Cone, and Choco Frosted Donut Blizzard Treat.

In 2025, rumors began swirling that DQ was releasing a new Fruity Pebbles milkshake, made with real Pebbles cereal, with food blogger @snackolator saying he wanted to “inhale” the shake. Now, seemingly after a small menu test, the Fruity Pebbles Shake is officially headed to menus.

The new treat blends real Fruity Pebbles cereal with DQ vanilla soft serve and milk, and is topped with a dollop of whipped cream.

Similarly, speculation about a new Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dipped Cone hit social media a few weeks ago, when one Instagram user shared a photo of the dessert, saying it was “spotted in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.” It’s true, the cereal-flavored dipped cone is real and features a cinnamon cereal-flavored cone coating with real cereal pieces and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnadust finish.

Lastly, the new Choco Frosted Donut Blizzard Treat is made with chocolate-frosted donut pieces and colorful sprinkles blended with DQ’s soft serve.

Fans already seem to be counting down the days to April 27.

“Need that shake & the cone ASAP,” one wrote on food blogger @markie_devo’s post.

“Need the fruity pebbles shake yesterday,” commented another.

“Omg this is truly the best menu,” a user commented.

I tried these new breakfast-for-dessert treats before they hit menus, and here is my honest review.

My Honest Review of Dairy Queen’s Breakfast Collection

I was just excited about this highly anticipated drop as many other DQ fans. The flavors are perfectly nostalgic and the collection features some awesome collaborations. After trying all three new treats, I’m pleased to inform you that they all lived up to the hype.

The Fruity Pebbles Shake tastes exactly like you put a bowl of Fruity Pebbles and the cereal-infused milk in a blender with ice cream. It’s fruity, creamy, and sweet.

The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dipped Cone tastes spot on to the beloved cereal thanks to the real CinnaDust coating. on the outside. I was worried this one would be overly sweet, but the cinnamon-sugar has a spice that holds its own against the cone coating and vanilla ice cream. All together, it tastes like you’re eating frozen Cinnamon Toast Crunch-infused cereal milk.

Lastly, and maybe my favorite of the three, the Choco Frosted Donut Blizzard Treat reminds me of a store-bought chocolate-coated cake doughnut, like Entenmann’s, but with sprinkles. It’s a nice balance of chocolatey and cake-flavored that had me looking forward to the chunks in every bite.

You won’t find a miss on DQ’s Breakfast Collection menu, so, the flavor you choose all comes down to your go-to breakfast treat.
