Promotion: nearly 300 design professionals from over 30 countries attended this year’s C Next Designers convention, hosted by surface design brand Cosentino in Almeria, Spain.
Taking place in Cantoria in October, it was the third edition of the multi-day industry event, which facilitates discourse on emerging trends and innovations in interior design.

Nearly 300 renowned creatives and brands attended the convention, which included roundtables, panels, and keynote speeches at venues including Cosentino‘s headquarters, Cabogata Beach Hotel and the PITA innovation park.
Attendees included design brands Dornbracht, Expormim, Vibia, and Gaggenau, as well as industry figures designer Sabine Marcelis and Iker Ochotorena, founder of architecture studio OOAA.

“Almeria has become these days the European epicentre of the interior design industry thanks to Cosentino,” said Cosentino.
“The convention was structured around roundtables, panels, and keynote speeches, such as that of the Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis, who was the keynote speaker on the Monday session held mainly at Cosentino’s headquarters in Cantoria,” it continued.

Among the talks that took place during C Next Designers was one focused on luxury residential design, held at the PITA innovation park.
Moderated by Dezeen’s editorial director Max Fraser, the discussion included insights from Ochotorena as well as fellow panellists Andreea Cebud, founder of C’est Design, Sascha Bialoian, head of global channel management at Dornbracht, and interior designer Raz Melame.

Other highlights of this year’s event included a series of exhibits at Cabogata Beach Hotel in El Toyo, curated by participating brands.
There was also a series of workshops to showcase local crafts.

This year’s C Next Designers coincided with Cosentino’s launch of its latest collection, Éclos.
Éclos is a collection of mineral surfaces for kitchen and bathroom countertops, which are composed of more than 50 per cent recycled materials.
The collection is crafted with the brand’s Inlayr technology – a manufacturing process that layers materials to create a natural look and ensure heat resistance.
Cosentino is a family-owned company specialising in surfaces for architecture and design. Following the success of its European editions of C Next Designers, it has also expanded the event to the Middle East.
