Blac Chyna is getting along with her ex.
The rapper, whose real name is Angela Renée White, made some rare comments on how things have been going with Rob Kardashian, whom she dated — and had daughter Dream with — in 2016. After a tumultuous few years, Chyna said that she and Kardashian are on great terms.
“Me and Rob, we are like this now,” she said on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Wednesday, February 26, crossing her fingers. “Thank God.”
Chyna and Kardashian were engaged and expecting a baby together before going their separate ways, all within a matter of months. Their split, however, wasn’t exactly amicable. In December 2016, Chyna accused Kardashian of masterminding a social media hack. Around the same time, Kardashian accused his ex of not letting him see their newborn daughter.
“She blocked me, or else I would ask to see her, and she has the guard gate not letting me in the gate either. I just miss baby Dream,” he wrote on social media, according to People magazine.
The Kardashians were quick to cut ties with Chyna, per the outlet, and things got much worse. Despite a brief reconciliation in January 2017, the two entered into a tense custody battle. Their relationship was a bit of a rollercoaster until things came to a head in July 2017 when Kardashian posted nude pictures of Chyna online.
“I was devastated, of course. I’m like, ‘How could somebody, like, post these pictures of me?’ This is a person that I trusted. I just felt betrayed,” she said in an interview on Good Morning America that same month.
Chyna and Kardashian’s relationship would experience more ups and downs with more lawsuits filed. Also in 2017, Chyna filed a lawsuit against Kardashian’s family, namely his mom, Kris Jenner, and three of his sisters; Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner, accusing them of defamation.
In May 2022, NBC News reported that a judge overseeing the case sided with the Kardashians. Evidently, it’s all water under the bridge. In her interview with Piers Morgan, Chyna said that she’s spoken to almost all the Kardashians, including Kim and Khloé.
Though they aren’t all super close, Chyna admits that they’re able to be cordial whenever they’re around each other. This benefits Chyna and Kardashian’s daughter Dream, 8, as she spends a lot of time with her cousins.
Chyna is also a mom to son King Cairo, 12, with ex Tyga.
