The Chicago Bears win again! ABC7’s Dionne Miller and ESPN Radio host Jeff Meller discussed how fans are starting to believe in this team, especially quarterback Caleb Williams. Head coach Ben Johnson discussed Williams’ maturation, and even Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen discussed how glad he is he doesn’t have to come up with a scheme to stop the Bears signal caller. Dionne also chatted with Minnesota Vikings beat reporter Ben Goessling about the Vikings finding themselves in a “must win” scenario despite beating the Bears in the season opener.
“Bet Sweats” Sam Panayotovich gave us the best betting odds this weekend. He also looked at where Ben Johnson ranks on the Coach of the Year listing. Also, Jeff gave us the best backup players to get during “cuffing season,” and gives his take on whether fans should listen to disgruntled Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown and cut him off their fantasy roster.
Dionne caught up with ABC7 sports anchor and reporter Mark Schanowski, who also does play-by-play for the Windy City Bulls and co-hosts a podcast with Chicago Bulls color analyst Stacey King. Schanowski talked about the chemistry this Bulls team has and what younger players are doing to get better.
The Chicago Blackhawks are honoring the late great Tony “O” Esposito this weekend at the United Center. Fans will receive a bobblehead likeness of the Hawks goaltending legend.
