All eyes continue to be focused on the south of France, where day seven of the Cannes Film Festival is wrapping up with the world premiere of Spike Lee’s latest action thriller, Highest to Lowest.

Denzel Washington, who stars alongside rapper A$AP Rocky, received an honorary Palme d’Or, presented by frequent collaborator Spike Lee himself.

And we saw her on the red carpet yesterday, about to accept the Women in Motion award and Nicole Kidman is making news again today as she reinforces her pledge to work with female directors at least once every 18 months.

“I’m so happy to be here supporting Women in Motion and being supportive of women’s voices in cinema and all of the people here tonight are obviously incredibly supportive of that, too,” Nicole told reporters on the red carpet.

“So I’m just glad to be able to be here and I’m just an advocate and want to continue to keep moving forward with my pledge from 2017, so it ain’t over.”

And things don’t seem to be getting any better for Katy Perry, with shows cancelled and the revelation that she won’t be returning to Las Vegas due to underperforming concerts.

Last night, she suffered a bit of a wardrobe malfunction when ther top became unclipped on stage.

She does seem to be getting a bit of a tough run at the moment, althouth it’ll be good to see her Down Under next month, where there’s a lot of love for her.

All those shows in Australia are pretty much sold out.
