Samsung is gearing up to launch its next generation flagship phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra in early 2026. The new series, which probably includes the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, is expected to bring a lot more upgrades to its predecessor. Rumors suggest that there have been major improvements in camera technology, performance, AI features, and possibly design. While official details are still scarce, some leaks offer a glimpse into what S26 Ultra will have to offer for the fans in India in terms of specifications, launch timeline and pricing.

Launch Timeline

Reports indicate that Samsung could be holding its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026 in San Francisco, a little later than usual: January. This is a change from the previous year where the Galaxy S25 series was launched in January. The delay in the launch might give Samsung time to work on the hardware and software to make it even more polished, giving the Galaxy S26 Ultra a more polished experience.

Specifications

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to have a large 6.9 inches AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate at a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. Under the hood, the phone could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage in the base model. The device is likely to have a 5000mAh battery while supporting 60w fast charging.

The camera upgrades are a big focus for the S26 Ultra. Rumors have it a quad-camera set up is in place with a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP 5x telephoto lens and a 10MP secondary telephoto lens. These improvements are to provide professional grade photography and better AI assisted imaging capabilities.

Price

With the growing prices of hardware, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will cost a little more than the S25 Ultra. Leaks point to the phone being priced between Rs 1,34,999 and Rs 1,39,999 in India. While the final price will only be determined at launch, these are estimates that give buyers an idea of where Samsung’s flagship device is in terms of premium.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra promises to be a major upgrade in the S series with a powerful processor, advanced camera system, and high-end display features. With the launch event happening in late February fans should keep an eye on the official announcements to get the confirmed specifications, pricing and availability in India.
