This remote-controlled monorail toy has the following text on the back of the box showcasing its history:

The Walt Disney Resort Monorail system is the third most heavily traveled passenger-monorail system in the world, servicing more than 22 million guests annually over 14.7 lane miles of elevated beamway at a maximum speed of 40 mph. On opening day, the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail system was comprised of two routes: Express and Resorts. The third route, EPCOT, debuted in 1982 with the grand opening of EPCOT and the last station was added to the system in 1988 with what is now Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

We found the toy in World of Disney at Disney Springs. This store has the world’s largest collection of Disney merchandise and is located in the Marketplace area.

Adult fans of the monorail may enjoy these novelty socks, which recently arrived in the Parks.
