“I just put in a gas pump,” he says. It sounds extravagant, but for Kane it’s almost practical. He’s collected several cars that run on E85, including a Mustang with a 10-gallon tank that only gets six miles to the gallon. But the closest gas station with flex fuel is 12 miles away. And so, in went the pump.
It gives you a sense for the scale of home Katelyn and Kane have created—and continue to expand—over the past seven years. They have most everything they need right in Whites Creek, about 20 minutes outside of Nashville. And they want folks to feel welcomed.
The property is larger than life, yet perfectly tailored to how they live. Bigger than the house, there’s a separate 11,400-square-foot complex (they call it “the barn”) with a basketball court and a rehearsal space, big enough to park tour buses. There’s a gym with a sauna. There’s a video game room for play, a recording studio for work, and for camera-ready moments, a glam room. The kids have a designated schoolroom (they’re homeschooled), plus a fully-kitted outdoor playhouse with square footage to rival a tiny home. It has a mock storefront on one end and a performance stage on the other.
