‘Tis the season to be jolly! And nothing is as merry or bright as The Mercantile in Pawhuska. Each year, Ree Drummond’s store is decked out in a spectacle of sparkling lights, colorful ornaments, and decorative greenery. And this year is no different! The entire store is ready for Christmas, and every inch is filled with holiday cheer.
Ree shared her winter wonderland on social media with a video that shows not only The Merc but most of the downtown shops surrounding it, too. And even at midnight (she was driving home from her book tour!), you can see just how festive it looks from the street. Cue the “oohs” and “ahhs.”
“Such a magical time ❤️,” she posted. Indeed! In the video, you can see the storefront with a gorgeous Christma wreath and lights framing every window. Then as she passes down further, you can see just how spectacular the decorations get: garlands with big baubles hanging down and giant bowed ribbons to top every wrapped post.
If you’re looking to live out your Hallmark Christmas movie fantasy, you might want to head to Oklahoma this season! Because of course, the magic doesn’t stop at The Merc. The entire downtown sparkles with lights, including The Boarding House, P-Town Pizza, and Charlie’s Sweet Shop. Fans flooded the comment section:
“Oh what a magical vision. 🤩 I can only dream of being at The Merc at holiday time, what a glorious sight,” said one commenter.
“Now that’s what I call Christmas ❤️,” said another.
“Can’t wait to see this in person!!! 🎄❤️ 😍” promises a third.
While Ree didn’t share a glimpse of the inside of The Merc quite yet (it isn’t open in the middle of the night, surprisingly 😂), rest assured it’s just as festive inside as it is out. Last year, the entire store was adorned with decorations to set the scene and add to shopper’s carts. Hopefully, even those who can’t travel this holiday season can feel the Christmas magic from afar!
