EUGENE, OR — Drivers in Eugene should expect traffic delays on Washington Street and West Broadway as crews narrow the road to one lane to remove a tree.
Spencer Crawford, the city of Eugene’s urban forestry supervisor, said the decision to remove the tree followed an incident earlier this winter.
“We had a branch coming out of this tree earlier this winter, in a little bit of a wind event and it just highlighter for us the need to take a closer look. And in that review, we felt it was needed for public safety to remove this tree,” Crawford said.
