The House on Wednesday approved the appropriations bill needed to end the longest government shutdown of all time in the U.S., sending the measure to President Donald Trump, who will sign the bill in the next few hours.

The House passed the bill in a 222-209 vote.
The House vote comes two days after the Senate approved the bill in a 60-40 vote, with the help of eight members of the Senate Democratic Caucus who crossed the aisle.
The bill will provide funding for federal agencies through Jan. 30, 2026.
President Donald Trump is scheduled to sign the bill at 9:45 p.m. EST, ending the shutdown.
