Boise Depot opens for free tours, showcasing historic architecture and local history

The Boise Depot, a historic Spanish-style structure in Boise, opened its doors for free guided tours on Sunday.

Operated by the Boise Parks and Recreation Department, the depot serves as a public ceremonial or meeting space and historic site

Designed by New York architects, the building first opened in 1925 to much fanfare in the capital city.

Tours were available at noon and 1:30 p.m., allowing visitors to explore the building and its grounds.
