The Super Mario Galaxy Movie arrives in 2026. A sequel to 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the animated comedy adventure film is based on Nintendo’s 2007 video game and is being directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic.
Following the post-credit scene tease in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, many Mario fans expected Yoshi to be part of the forthcoming sequel. Now, Yoshi’s presence has been seemingly confirmed, and the character design has been revealed, thanks to a Pillsbury cookie box tie-in marketing campaign..

The 2007 game follows Mario as he embarks on a journey across the universe to save Princess Peach after she is kidnapped by Bowser.
