One of pop music’s biggest stars says her singing days might be coming to an end. Despite not touring since 2019, singer/actress Ariana Grande says her upcoming 2026 “The Eternal Sunshine” tour could be her last for an extended period.

Grande, who is currently in the middle of a promotional tour for her upcoming film “Wicked: For Good,” made the announcement during an appearance this week on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast. While she says she is looking forward to the tour, Grande admits she doesn’t have much planned for her future in music.

“I don’t want to say anything definitive. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time,” Grande said. “I’m going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful. I think that’s why I’m doing it because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah!’”

Grande made it clear that she isn’t walking away from music permanently, but is excited to take on different projects instead of music. Poehler made a point of saying it can be refreshing to step away from something you love to pursue other passions, which Grande agreed with.

“You are able to do better by that art form, because you’re appreciative and really able to feel present in it,” Grande said.

Grande’s last tour “The Sweetener World Tour” ended in December 2019 after she performed more than 90 shows over the course of 9 months.

The upcoming tour kicks off on June 6 in Oakland, Calif. and will feature 41 shows in total. The tour will feature multiple shows in each city it visits, but only 11 cities are on the schedule.

The tour has stops scheduled for Oakland; Los Angeles; Inglewood, Calif; Austin, Texas; Miami; Atlanta; Brooklyn; Boston; Chicago; Montreal and London.

“Wicked: For Good” hits theaters this Friday, Nov. 21.
