SEATTLE — The State Route 99 tunnel through downtown Seattle is closed in both directions due to a power outage, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
All traffic is being diverted off SR 99 and into downtown Seattle.
Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes and expect delays.
There is no estimated time as to when the tunnel will reopen. KING 5 has reached out to Seattle City Light to ask about the source of the outage.
