Universal Kids Resort north of Dallas will have seven themed worlds, many of which are familiar to those who’ve visited the company’s other parks: Minion Land and DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida; Jurassic Park at Universal Islands of Adventure; and both Jurassic World and Minion Land at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The Frisco, Texas park, however, will see each of those themes brought to life “in a totally new way… through a lens crafted especially for [kids].
“It is a world where kids are encouraged to play, to use their imagination, to pique curiosity, and to find fun ways to explore,” said Randolph Borden, senior show producer of Universal Kids Resort in a statement. He also emphasized that, since this is the first time Universal has focused on a particular age bracket, “This is a park that young kids are going to know immediately is for them.”

Isle of Curiosity
This is the park hub. Isle of Curiosity features DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse, with an immersive retail experience where kids can meet their favorite characters from the show. It will also feature Universal Kids Resort Café — with breakfast, snack packs and all-day pastries. — and Cakey’s Cupcakes. Afterward, kids can head to Gabby’s Cat-Tastic Dance Party! to boogie with Gabby herself. This area will feature the Universal Kids Resort Store and Gabby’s Dollhouse for merchandise.
Shreck’s Swamp

Shrek’s Swamp is, you guessed it, a swamp-themed playground that looks like it was built by the ogre himself. It features Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After, a ride Shrek “created for his triplets to tell the story of how he and their mother, Fiona, fell in love.” The land will also feature dry and wet kids’ play areas with Shrek’s Swamp Rompin’ Stomp and Shrek’s Swamp Splash & Smash. There will be meet-and-greets with Shrek and Fiona as well as treats from Swamp Snacks plus gear and the best toys from Triplets Treasures.
SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
Kids and their families will get to explore SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, beginning with
Jellyfish Fields Jamboree, a wild ride atop a school of pink jellyfish where tots float high above the coral along in their own Jelly Angler. Bobbing Barrels will spin kids round and round, as they use their cannons to blast water at opponents — with help from Patrick and Sandy. Also on tap are the Barnacle Bus, Mrs. Puff’s Boating School, the Pineapple Paradise wet play area, Meet SpongeBob & Friends and photo ops with Larry the Lobster at Mussel Beach.
Minions Vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
There’s more water fun at the Minions Bello Bay Club. The attractions will include a splash zone on the Bello Bay Cruise, the Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby and a Minion meet and greet.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp
The Jurassic World Adventure Camp will include the Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster, Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin, the Pteranodrop ride and the Jurassic World Lookout Towers within the Paddock Play.
TrollsFest
TrollsFest is set to feature Poppy, Branch and friends, vibrant music, singing, dancing and attractions such as Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express, the Hair in the Clouds ride, the King Trollex Techno Dance Party, Poppy’s Playland the Trolls Critter Crawl and a vibrant Sensory Garden.
Puss In Boots Del Mar
The Puss in Boots-themed world includes a flying carousel called Swings Over Del Mar, character meet-and-greets and carnival areas Barriles de Leche and El Gato’s Meow.
