Oxford United midfielder Filip Krastev scored his second international goal for Bulgaria as they finished their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-1 win over Georgia.
The 24-year-old, who joined Oxford on loan from Belgian side Lommel in September, was on target in the 24th minute to give his side a 2-0 lead before Georgia struck a late consolation in Sofia.
The victory was Bulgaria’s only win of a disastrous run which saw them lose their five other qualifiers and finish bottom of their group.
Krastev has made eight league appearances for Oxford and is set to be in their squad when they return to Championship action at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
