In a demonstration of inter-agency collaboration, the Sacramento Police Department, alongside the DEA Sacramento and California Highway Patrol, has completed a joint operation targeting the illegal trade of narcotics and firearms in the community. In a recent social media post, the Sacramento Police Department announced the seizure of several illegal firearms and substantial quantities of drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and the increasingly worrisome fentanyl.
The operation appears to be a part of an ongoing effort to curb the supply of illegal substances and weapons that often fuel violence and addiction in local communities. Authorities have not disclosed the number of arrests made during the operation, but the announcement on the Sacramento Police Department’s Post detailed the nature of the items seized and expressed gratitude to the local and regional partners for their support. “A big thanks to our local and regional partners for working alongside us. Teamwork like this helps keep our community safe!” stated the post.
