The IMSA Esports Global Championship returns on Sunday, November 16th, with the second round of the 2025 season, the AMD 240 at Sebring International Raceway. Continuing its fourth season, 52 teams are ready to race for the crown across two class championships, including 20 teams competing in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class and 32 teams taking on the Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) class. This week will also feature the first Michelin Wild Card Entry with the No. 170 Moradness Mercedes-AMG in the GTD class.

Sebring International Raceway is the second of four events in the 2025 season, following the season opener at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta two weeks ago, and joining a split-class event at Long Beach and VIRginia, plus the usual virtual concluder at Daytona to cap off the year. A $25,000 prize pool is on the line, with top teams in each class collecting $5,000 at the end of the season. Last year, Williams Esports Chillblast and Team Redline were victorious in their respective classes.

Two hours and 40 minutes will be on the clock. Points will be on the line not only in the race, but also in qualifying. Who will respect the bumps around Sebring?

IMSA P3 CHALLENGE

The first of two IMSA Esports P3 Challenge races will kick off the racing action on Sunday leading into the Global Championship event. At 1:15 p.m. ET, the preshow event will kick off with a number of qualified drivers from the Grid Finder LMP3 Challenge competing in 20-minute, fixed setup races against select special guests.

LAST RACE

Two weeks ago, the 2025 IMSA Esports Global Championship began as usual with two hours and 40 minutes of racing from Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Porsche Coanda’s No. 91 was dominant in the early stages of the GTP race, with Jordan Caruso behind the wheel. When his teammate, Joshua Rogers, hopped into the car to continue their conquest, their day was ended short after contact with another GTP that had yet to pit while exiting the pits. It wasn’t all bad for Coanda Esports, as their GTD efforts would result in a 1-2 finish with the No. 181 of Alejandro Sanchez and Xander Reed claiming the victory. Back in GTP, Team Redline took control from Coanda’s misfortunes, and would get their own 1-2 finish with the No. 33 of Diogo Pinto and Chris Lulham claiming the victory.

LAST SEASON

Last year’s Sebring festivities took place in the third slot of the 2024-25 calendar, the penultimate race of the Global Championship season. Coming off of a week dominated by Team Redline at Indianapolis, the GTP class was once again won by the Williams Esports Chillblast No. 5 team of Matt Farrow and Jaden Munoz. As for the GTD class, ‘Rexy’ finally broke through into victory lane with AO Racing by Coanda’s No. 118 taking the checkers with Tristan Iglesias and Michael Janney.

TRACK FACTS

Respect the bumps! Sebring International Raceway is a 3.7-mile, 17-turn permanent road racing fixture located in Sebring, Florida. The first race held at the circuit was in 1950, and in 1959, it hosted the United States Grand Prix. However, Sebring is better known and suited for sports car racing, hosting the IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring every March.

NEXT RACE

After the AMD 240 at Sebring International Raceway, the series will return in a week, on November 23rd, for the third races of the season. For the first time in series history, the classes will be split. The GTP contingent will head to the Streets of Long Beach for a 75-minute feature, while the GTDs will take on VIRginia International Raceway for their own 75-minute event.

Each race of the IMSA Esports Global Championship will be broadcasted live on IMSA’s and iRacing’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitch social media channels with the IMSA Esports P3 Challenge kicking things off at 1:15 p.m. ET. The Countdown to Green pre-race show starts right after, at 1:50 p.m. ET (18:45 GMT). Race coverage begins at 2:00 p.m. ET.
